Welcoming the Kotzems

Sunday morning the Refugees got to welcome Lauren and Wolfgang's friends the Kotzem family. They are visiting from Germany. (Notice the backs of their cool shirts?)

They started the morning with the Frog Jumping contest.

One of their frogs won first place!

First place prize. First place smile.

Introductions for the Refugees: Frank (the Dad), Ines (the Mom), (the kids) Elias, Joschi, Antontia, and Lena.

Playing carpet ball the German way?

Antonia, Lena, Elias, and Joschi.

Watch the ball...
...as it flies by.
Faith and I had fun playing a really cool duet (just for fun) and Joy decided to help us!

With some coaching by her Mom (Ines) we got to hear Lena play.
Joy and Kaleb had fun watching the chickens.
Even chickens have bad hair days.
We don't get too many pictures of these two on the blog!

Melody, Faith, and I went on a walk to find raspberries and I couldn't resist this pretty spot for a picture!
Another adorable smile!
Watching horse shoes.
Can they score any points?
Orla kept the game rolling with all the points she made!

The perfect toy for a hot day!
Lena and Isaac are so cute to watch when they play together. Lena cannot speak English and Isaac cannot speak German, but somehow that doesn't make any difference!

Even Gab and I joined in on the fun!
You can't really tell from this picture but Becky just threw a bowl of water all over Jordan. For some reason after that none of us girls were safe until the Lees left!
Jill and Rich took their paddle boat out for a ride, and when they were done they let the rest of us take a turn.Mourey and Frank.
Antonia and I and Lena is climbing onto the back.
The perfect place to watch supper as it was being made! Wonderful cooks!

Time to eat!
Lots of hungry people.
Fly killer!
Good friends and a fire... It can't get much better!

Look at the Refuge! Jess and Orla spent a lot of time last week cleaning it up and rearranging. Doesn't it look great?

Twins.
Although I think that we would need to turn one of them upside down to make them match!
Eating in the back of a truck. For some reason that just seems to fit at a campground.
Nice Christian!
Practicing a skit for this Sunday. I wonder how it will go?
Using the Bible for the script. You can't get much better than that!
Our number one fan!
Aww... Faith let me sit on her lap! Aren't we cute!
Ahhh!!! Gab what are you doing?!
On Sunday afternoon we had a water fight. I would have taken pictures but I seem to be on every one's hit list and I didn't want to get my camera wet!

I did manage to get this picture of Jordan. He just had a jug of water dumped all over him!

Good job Melody!
Later that afternoon Jamie the trick of putting a mento mint into a diet coke.
You are supposed to have a 2 liter bottle of coke for it to work but...
...Jamie wanted to try it anyways! I you throw a couple mints into a 2 liter bottle the bottle jumps into the air and makes a fountain. Don't try it inside!

Boating

On Sunday afternoon I got a little lazy with my picture taking. =0
But isn't that what holiday weekends are for?
By the time I had gotten my camera out on Sunday some of the people had already left. But these five were ready to go on a boat ride!
Zeb, Reid, Rach, Zoe, and Beck. (Just in case you can't tell who is who;)

I didn't get to go... I had to stay behind and guard their valuables!
Finally they came back to the dock so that I could take pictures!
I don't think that the guys wanted their picture taken. They never came close to the dock while I had my camera out. :(
The girls didn't mind having their pictures taken. They are always ready to pose for me!
I found out that I missed them splashing each other. :( I leave my post for five minutes and miss out on all the fun!

Time to go already?
